These ashes of mine
are nothing beautiful
they are not to be cherished
not to be kept

These ashes of mine
are cold and dirty
they lay dried out
in a stone case

These ashes of mine
are undoubtedly useless
there nothing similar
to what they used to be

These ashes of mine
are not warm, comforting
they do not love you
the way I did

These ashes of mine
are gathered into
your pale, soft hands
delicately thrown away
